Hi again!! Back with another week of Bailey's Bites. Here's what's top of mind for me after a week away at the Outer Banks 🙂
My weight loss journey is beginning again.
If you've been following me on Instagram, you know I just got back into my weight loss journey this weekend. I have let pregnancy and postpartum get the best of me, and I'm not feeling great physically lately! I have a goal to lose 20 pounds by Christmas and am excited to share that journey with all of you over on my Instagram and here. For now, I'll be following WW because for me, it's tried and true and I know it has worked in the past. If I'm not seeing success, I'll move onto calorie counting!

I started the arms with Tunde program on Peloton.
And am really excited about it! It's three times a week, and I've heard it gets pretty intense. Even if I can't fully keep up with everything she's doing, I'm excited just to do *something* a few times a week that makes me feel good/like I'm getting stronger. I'm doing the challenge with a few IRL friends and a few friends from my Facebook group, so it's nice to have the extra accountability and support! I'll report back on how the challenge goes.
I ordered two new pairs of jeans I'm obsessed with!
Lately I've been living in leggings and my favorite athletic skirt, but I did get two new pair of jeans recently that I'm LOVING and they're currently on sale (!!!). One is a stretchy straight leg jean, and one is a pair of black jeans. They're stretchy and comfortable, and perfect as we transition from summer to fall. If you're in between sizes and not wanting to spend a ton of money on jeans, but want something CUTE and comfortable, I highly recommend these.

My biggest weight loss struggle...
I swear my biggest struggle when I'm trying to eat healthy is nighttime snacking. And especially now that we're doing dinners so much earlier so that we can all eat together as a family before Eleanor goes down, I have all night ahead of me to snack, hah. I decided I want one of my nightly routines to be a cup of decaf coffee or tea to help curb that desire (when I want to snack but am not actually hungry). SO many of you recommended the Tazo Lemon Loaf tea and said it's amazing - I'm SO excited to try it!
We leave for St. Louis this weekend!
We'll be there for less than 48 hours but I'm excited to see Cardinals game, explore the Budweiser factory and the Arch, and try some new food. I got so many good recommendations on Instagram and I'm excited to plan a (short) itinerary and share it with you all in case you're ever in the area!
A recipe I'm really wanting to make
My friend shared this recipe she made recently and I'm dying to make it - it looks SO good. I'll sub the regular sausage for chicken sausage and serve it with pasta and share my thoughts. Let me know what you think if you try it!
Eleanor is at the age where...
She gets bored of everything very quickly so we're constantly switching out toys and coming up with new ways to keep her entertained. Can I just say how immensely in love I am with my Lovevery subscription? The toys they send you for your baby's age range are all developmentally appropriate so it takes the thinking out of what toys to buy and expose her to. I also love that they aren't flashy and are based in Montessori principles. I really want to do a giveaway with their play mat soon (which has probably been our #1 most-used registry item). Speaking of registry, have you read the registry checklist I put together for new moms?!
That's all! I'll be back with another update next week - hope it's a great one and that you enjoyed this week's Bailey's Bites 🙂
